Man Utd is ready to spend up to £105 million to recruit striker Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023.
Kolo Muani rose to fame in the 2022 World Cup. Although not a key player for the French team, he always created breakthroughs whenever he was on the pitch. In fact, if lucky, Kolo Muani could help the French team win the tournament in Qatar if he didn't miss favorable opportunities in extra time in the final against Argentina.
After the tournament, Kolo Muani caught the attention of many clubs. He is evaluated by European media as "an exciting player with the ability to change the game". Recently, Man Utd and PSG have expressed interest in the Frankfurt striker.
According to Bild (Germany), Manchester United is determined in this deal. They are willing to spend up to £105 million (€120 million) to convince Frankfurt to release the player.
Kolo Muani has a fast, powerful playing style and a good ability to seize opportunities. He is seen as the center of Ten Hag's plan to rebuild the team. Although Marcus Rashford is playing well as a center forward, Man Utd clearly still needs more "assassins" to share the burden with the 1997-born star.
The Daily Mail reported that Man Utd could sell many players in the current squad to have the money to recruit Kolo Muani. However, the newspaper did not specify the names of the stars on the Red Devils' sales list.
PSG also dreams of bringing Kolo Muani back to France. In the context of the possible departure of Messi (even Neymar), the Paris team is aiming to rebuild the team with younger, healthier stars.
Kolo Muani joined Frankfurt on a free transfer from Nantes last summer. He helped Frankfurt qualify for the Champions League knockout stage for the first time (since the tournament was renamed). Thanks to that, Kolo Muani has been included in the French national team squad for the 2022 World Cup.
