Liverpool's Salah, Nunez, and Gakpo each scored twice to help Liverpool secure a 7-0 victory over Manchester United in the 26th round of the English Premier League, known as the "English Derby" match.
The representative from Merseyside created a huge shock when they beat their arch-rivals with a score of 7-0. The goals were scored by Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah (each scoring twice), and Roberto Firmino.
In the first half, the match was very exciting with high speed. With the home advantage, Liverpool had superior ball control (60%) and created more shooting opportunities (8 vs. 4). However, MU also showed danger in the pressing and counter-attacking situations.

Coach Erik ten Hag brought on Scott McTominay and Alejandro Garnacho to replace Fred and Wout Weghorst, hoping to improve the game. However, before they could do so, MU conceded their fourth goal. In the 66th minute, Liverpool had a sharp counter-attack and ended with a decisive volley by Salah.
From this moment, MU was completely broken down. Afterward, they allowed Liverpool to dominate and scored three more goals, by Nunez, Salah, and Firmino, respectively.
With a resounding victory over MU, Liverpool had 42 points, climbing to 5th place on the standings, only three points behind 4th-place Tottenham. Meanwhile, the Manchester representative still stood in 3rd place with 49 points.
