Erling Haaland’s agent says the star is worth ‘a billion’

Pimenta is the manager of the sports agency representing One, a football player, after the death of the Italian super agent last year. The agency also represents many other star players such as Marco Verratti, Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Gianluigi Donnarumma, but in terms of transfer value, Haaland is currently the most valuable player managed by Pimenta.

“Erling Haaland is worth €1billion. That’s not a guess, I’m sure of it. They might say I’m being ridiculous, that a club is not going to pay a billion."
“But his age, his quality, his progression and the way he behaves is why I talk about a billion.

“The future is unknown but it’s coming. He’s so simple, not impressed with the ‘bling bling’. He eats lasagne before matches, it’s his magic formula. He doesn’t see himself as important. It’s the future.” Rafaela Pimenta said to AS, Pimenta.

Last summer, Man City only paid $63 million to sign Haaland, which was $19 million less than his release clause with Dortmund. In return, the Etihad team turned the 22-year-old forward into the highest-paid player in the English Premier League with a weekly income of nearly $1 million from salary and bonuses.

Haaland quickly proved his worth after joining Man City, scoring 32 goals in all competitions, including 26 goals in the Premier League and 5 goals in the Champions League.

According to Pimenta, despite the global economic downturn, player values will continue to rise in the future. Therefore, the Brazilian businesswoman believes that Haaland could break the world transfer record if he leaves Man City. Currently, the world transfer record is still held by Neymar, who was signed by PSG from Barca for $263 million in the summer of 2017.

Haaland disappointed in the weekend draw against Nottingham Forest, missing some good chances and failing to score. The Norwegian forward will have a chance to regain his scoring touch in the away match against RB Leipzig in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 on February 22nd.
